About Us

We are one of Britain's most successful independent producers of history and life story documentaries. Founded by Steve Humphries in 1992, over the last 20 years we have produced more than one hundred factual programmes for national and international broadcasters.

We have built up one of Britain’s largest archives of life story interviews. From The Great War to 9/11, childhood reminiscences to the secrets of British bedrooms; our archive provides a window into history beyond living memory and traces the events that have transformed our world over the last century.

Since 2002 we have made over a dozen documentaries about the atrocities of 9/11. Our films investigated the devastating event through unexplored, personal experience and have been highly acclaimed by the New York Times.

Our entire creative process is shaped by the recollections of real people. We are dedicated to telling stories that haven’t before been told, revealing intimate personal histories with intelligence and integrity.
